Learn about an innovative dementia management method while placed in a day service in Nottingham
This placement is an opportunity for an AHP student to support people with dementia at a specialist SPECAL-led day service. The SPECAL method is a unique dementia management method which has been shown to lead to immediate and sustained improvements in quality of life for people with dementia.
A placement at the Sybil Levin Centre, which is reopening in September 2021 to become a centre of excellence in this method, will give a student the opportunity to see this innovative mode of practice at close-hand.
