Blood Cancer UK is a charity dedicated to beating blood cancer by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. We provide expert information and support at the point of diagnosis and beyond, and campaign on key issues to improve the blood cancer experience.
There are so many opportunities to support the work of Blood Cancer UK, and we're always looking to increase the diversity of knowledge and expertise we are able to draw on. A student with a public health focus would be well placed to input into our information transformation programme and support services work in particular.
This may be anything from conducting small-scale research or scoping on a particular unmet need in our community, to helping facilitate focus groups and workshops, to reviewing health information. You'd get to shadow our support services team and learn more about the common queries coming through across our various platforms. We'd really like to learn from you too so developing some training sessions for staff on your particular area of interest would be very welcome.
We'd look to develop a programme that suited your background and your interest, that could provide the greatest benefit both to your development as well as to our mission to beat blood cancer and support those affected.
